Decipher hip-hop on WPFW ends this week

We've just received word that WPFW has cancelled the "Decipher" hip-hop block, which includes our Thursday night show.

Our run at DC's 89.3 FM will join our stints at 88.1 WMUC, Flava 1580, XM Radio's Club 82, and 67 The City in the history books after Thursday's final broadcast from 10-11pm.

Listening to your last show right now, Bush Head & can I just say that y'all are taking it with TREMENDOUS grace & good humour.

The decision to shut you down is complete & utter shite. I am disappointed with with PFW -- if we can't hear the good stuff on Jazz & Justice, then where can we hear it?

I've been a listener since 88.1 and am sad to see this. I thought Ed mentioned something about a Sat night segment. Book mentioned DJ Celo on the air in a few weeks. Anyone know details on this new spot?

I am very displeased with the movement and cancellation of your show but many other shows across WPFW! Please, if you want to help, let us not be silent and be the bystanders, but stand up!

I am pulling together resources from Silver Spring to Fairfax in hopes to restore WPFW to the flame it so recently was!

I am working with Ben and Jerry's to try to get a buzz going and they are willing to go as big as we can get it! For more information please check out our facebook @https://www.facebook.com/fairfaxbenjerry
